Immigration Reform… Before 2010 Elections?

First, while reading this article. I found a great quote to sum up congress.

Most lawmakers fall into one of two categories: those who want to solve problems and those whose main concern is scoring political points. When the second group wins, pressing problems become perennial wedge issues — issues we then give up on solving because they’re so potent on Election Day.

And now the article:

Lots of people cheered this week when it was reported that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had agreed to steer comprehensive immigration reform through Congress by year’s end. This is a bold, exciting plan — and if it works, it could be a game-changer.
